Personal projects, that are not driven by commerce, help creatives, like myself, develop new muscles, louder voices and a more grace-driven worldview. For centuries, Christian spirituality and stories were the primary subject of artists, and now it has less of a voice in our culture. I believe this is a major missed opportunity to offer hope to a broken world. As someone who is being radically transformed by Jesus, it's important to me that I periodically contribute to this dialog. These projects have been displayed in various capacities at Imago Dei Community in Portland, OR. Each of these art projects has helped me learn more about Jesus and see deeper into myself.

“There’s an unhelpful assumption here... that sin is an essential part of being human. This is backward: sin attacks and degrades our humanity. It makes us less human, not more... Jesus doesn’t use a superhuman advantage to win; he refuses the inhumanity we all participate in... His incorruptible will makes him not less human, but more. Jesus is true humanity.”
